A Gnostic Reflection on Heaven, Earth, and the Work of Love
By Rev. Dr. R. M. Anderson | Cannabis Church of Science and Faith
The ancient Gnostics taught that salvation comes not from obeying blind authority or waiting for rescue, but from awakening the divine spark buried beneath layers of illusion. They taught us to look inward — and they were right.
But we must not stop there.
Yes, look inward — but also look outward.
Jesus said, “The Kingdom of Heaven is close at hand.”
Not far. Not someday. Not hidden in the sky or buried under the sea.
It is within you — and it is all around you.
“If those who lead you say to you, ‘See, the kingdom is in the sky,’ then the birds of the sky will precede you.
If they say to you, ‘It is in the sea,’ then the fish will precede you.
Rather, the kingdom is inside of you, and it is outside of you.
When you come to know yourselves… you will know that you are the sons of the living Father.
But if you do not know yourselves, you dwell in poverty — and you are that poverty.”
— Gospel of Thomas, Saying 3
Heaven is not a place you go — it is a way you live.
It is not a future reward — it is a present calling.
If we awaken but do not act, our gnosis is hollow.
If we meditate but do not heal, we betray the gift.
We must fix what we have broken.
Love what we have neglected.
And build the Kingdom not later — but now.
Before heaven and hell become one… and hell claims the throne.
🕊️ Let it begin with you.
Let it spread through us.
