What Is Gnostic—and Why That’s the Path We Follow
We’re so grateful you’re here. Each Sunday, we share our sermons with the help of our friends at Cave News Times, as we walk together in truth, healing, and open-minded faith.
Just a note: Everything shared here—from thoughts and teachings to news and reflections—comes from the heart of the Cannabis Church of Science and Faith. These views are our own and may not reflect those of Cave News Times. We’re thankful for the space to speak freely and grow together.
🌌 Opening Reflection: The Hidden Thread
What if the divine wasn’t above us—but within us?
What if the path to salvation wasn’t obedience to a hierarchy—but awakening to truth?
And what if the key to unlocking that truth had been buried by religion itself?
This is the paradox at the heart of Gnosticism—and the reason we at the Cannabis Church of Science and Faith walk this path.
We are not here to mimic dogma.
We are not here to worship institutions.
We are here to remember what was stolen—and reclaim what was always ours: the divine spark.
🔬 Faith Segment: Science, Spirit, and the Sacred Herb
At the Cannabis Church of Science and Faith, we believe:
- God may be real—but religion is man’s story about it.
- Science and spirituality are both tools of understanding. One explains the world. The other gives it meaning.
- Cannabis is a sacrament, not a sin. It is a tool for healing, expanding consciousness, and opening the heart.
We follow the Gnostic path because it invites us inward—not outward.
Gnosticism teaches that salvation comes from gnosis—a Greek word meaning knowledge, but not the academic kind.
This is soul-deep knowing.
Knowing who you are.
Knowing where you come from.
And knowing that the divine light you seek has been within you all along.
We reject the idea that a priest, church, or book must stand between you and God.
We honor sacred texts—but not as weapons of control.
We respect teachers—but not as masters.
Instead, we look to the words of Jesus the man—not the icon of empire.
He said:
“The Kingdom of God is within you.”
“Seek and you shall find.”
“The truth will set you free.”
These are not rules. They are invitations.
Gnostic Christianity is not about believing—it is about becoming.
🧠 Philosophy Segment: Becoming Fully Human
In Gnosticism, the world is not as it seems.
There is a deeper reality behind the illusion—one we must wake up to.
But waking up is hard.
Because from birth, we are taught to conform.
Taught to obey.
Taught to fear hell and chase heaven.
But rarely taught to ask why.
Gnostics rebel against this programming.
They challenge systems that keep us spiritually numb and emotionally divided.
They seek to reconnect with the divine spark—the hidden fragment of truth buried under trauma, propaganda, and pain.
And cannabis?
Cannabis quiets the noise.
It helps us tune into the whisper of the divine.
It helps us reflect, reframe, and repair.
It brings peace in the storm and perspective in the chaos.
Used with intention, cannabis is not escapism. It is reconnection.
Our vision of humanity is a future of awakened minds, compassionate hearts, and shared truth.
Not ruled by fear.
Not divided by doctrine.
But united in freedom, equity, and collective growth.
🕊 Who We Are: The Cannabis Church of Science and Faith
We are a spiritual community for seekers, skeptics, and sages.
We are Gnostic in spirit and practice—not because it is trendy, but because it is true.
We are people who:
- Believe in asking hard questions and sitting with sacred mystery
- Use cannabis as a tool, not a crutch
- Revere the teachings of Jesus, not the institutions built in his name
- Study all traditions, separating the gold from the dross
- Honor science and spirit equally
- Reject religious manipulation and embrace spiritual autonomy
We don’t claim to have all the answers.
But we do claim the right to seek them—together.
🌀 Closing Reflection & Challenge
The world is burning.
And too many are still waiting for a savior—
When the spark is already in your hands.
Awaken. Question. Remember. Reclaim.
“If you bring forth what is within you, what you bring forth will save you.
If you do not bring forth what is within you, what you do not bring forth will destroy you.”
— Gospel of Thomas, Saying 70
🌿 May cannabis open your heart.
🌿 May wisdom light your mind.
🌿 May truth set you free.
🙏 Affirmation
“I am not separate from the divine. I am part of it.
I seek not to obey blindly, but to know deeply.
I walk this path with open eyes, an open heart, and sacred smoke to guide me.”
