Masculine and Feminine in Gnosticism: A Truth Too Dangerous for Empire
We’re so grateful you’re here. We share our sermons here each Sunday with the help of our friends at Cave News Times, as we walk together in truth, healing, and open-minded faith.

Just a note: Everything shared here—from thoughts and teachings to news and reflections—comes from the heart of the Cannabis Church of Science and Faith. These views are our own and may not reflect those of Cave News Times. We’re thankful for the space to speak freely and grow together.
🌀 Opening Reflection
Why is it that the deepest truths are the ones most feared?
Why do institutions that preach love and unity so often deny half the population their voice, their divinity, and their worth?
The answer lies in control.
In the Gnostic tradition, both masculine and feminine energies are essential to creation, wisdom, and redemption. But mainstream religions—built on empire, conquest, and patriarchy—feared the power of balance. So they buried it. Demonized it. Erased it.
Gnosticism teaches us what religion tried to make us forget: that the feminine is divine, not subordinate. That Sophia—Wisdom Herself—created all things alongside the Light. That the spark of the divine exists in us all, male or female, non-binary or beyond labels.
But when equality threatens the throne, those in power will rewrite the story to keep it.
✨ Science and Faith
We believe God may be real. But religion, as we’ve inherited it, is a story men wrote about that possibility—with ink from their own fears and ambitions.
In Christianity, Judaism, and Islam, we see beauty—but we also see how male-dominated institutions twisted the light.
- The Catholic Church protected abusers and silenced women.
- Orthodox Judaism repeats cycles of violence under a divine claim of “chosenness.”
- Islamic sects wage war against one another in the name of unity.
But here’s what those religions also share: an obsession with erasing the feminine, fearing equality, and weaponizing obedience.
Why?
Because Gnosticism reminds us that every soul has the divine spark. That no one—not priest, pope, rabbi, or imam—can mediate your connection to God. That salvation is within you, not sold by institutions.
And that? That’s dangerous to power.
Cannabis, used with reverence, breaks the spell. It heals the trauma. It softens the rigid masculine dominance that has ruled for centuries. It awakens what was hidden—Sophia, the Breath, the nurturing fire.
That’s why The Cannabis Church of Science and Faith is rooted in Gnosticism.
Because we’re not here to control your spark.
We’re here to help you remember you have one.
🧠 Philosophy
Gnosticism isn’t perfect—it was a human attempt to explain the mystery, too. But it understood something most traditions forgot:
🌗 Duality is sacred.
🌞 Masculine is not superior to feminine.
🌙 Feminine is not submissive to masculine.
🌀 Each is a reflection of the other, and both live within every human being.
We are not just bodies.
We are soul-beings born from divine confusion, striving toward divine unity.
When men fight against women’s equality, they aren’t just oppressing others—they’re cutting off half their own soul.
The systems of religion, empire, and patriarchy taught them to fear wholeness.
Because wholeness can’t be ruled.
But here’s the truth Gnosticism whispers:
You were never meant to obey blindly.
You were meant to awaken.
🌿 Closing Challenge
The world is on fire with division.
But the answer isn’t more sides.
The answer is integration.
Let the feminine rise. Let the masculine soften. Let your spark speak.
You are the temple.
You are the priest.
You are the path.
And your breath—like cannabis—is sacred.
✨ Reflective Mantra
“I am both light and shadow, flame and breath. In me, all things meet.”
🙏 A Final Thought
It is time.
Time for a new old truth.
Time for the redeemer to be us—together.
Time to reclaim our soul from the cages of kings, bishops, and false gods.
