Today’s Sermon: Be Your True Self—Even When Judged, Like Christ Was
We’re so grateful you’re here. Each Sunday, we share our sermons with the help of our friends at Cave News Times, as we walk together in truth, healing, and open-minded faith.
Just a note: Everything shared here—from thoughts and teachings to news and reflections—comes from the heart of the Cannabis Church of Science and Faith. These views are our own and may not reflect those of Cave News Times. We’re thankful for the space to speak freely and grow together.
🪞Opening Reflection
What if the greatest act of rebellion isn’t protest or defiance—but authenticity?
What if the deepest form of faith isn’t how loudly you proclaim belief—but how quietly you live your truth, even when others misunderstand, mock, or reject you?
Every day, we are judged—for how we look, how we live, what we believe, and who we choose to be. And yet, we are called to stand firm, just as Christ did—not in arrogance, but in authenticity.
✨ Faith Segment: Science and Faith
“God may be real—but religion is man’s story about it.”
And man loves to judge.
Jesus wasn’t accepted by the religious elite. He wasn’t praised by politicians. He didn’t wear the robes of a priest or sit in the high places of power. He walked with the broken, healed the outcast, and spoke with clarity and courage even when it cost him everything.
He ate with sinners. He spoke to women. He challenged wealth and authority. He was called a blasphemer, a drunk, a demon, and worse.
And he kept going.
That is the model.
Not the one who conforms to be liked, but the one who remains true even when others misunderstand.
Cannabis—our sacrament—reminds us of this kind of presence. It softens the noise, quiets the ego, and allows the soul to speak. In its stillness, we remember who we are beneath the masks.
We use it not to escape, but to awaken—to reflect, heal, and reconnect with that inner voice that so often gets drowned out in a world of judgment.
🧠 Philosophy Segment: The Courage to Be You
Philosopher Søren Kierkegaard once said, “To be that self which one truly is, is indeed the opposite of despair.”
But that’s hard.
We live in a world that profits from our self-doubt. Systems are designed to make us feel inadequate unless we conform, consume, or obey. And religion, when corrupted, reinforces this: “You’re not enough. You must earn love. You must earn salvation.”
That’s a lie.
The truth? You were already enough. You were created with purpose, with soul, with sacredness.
Your worth is not found in others’ approval. It’s in your integrity. Your compassion. Your willingness to evolve without betraying who you are.
This is the future we believe in:
A society where authenticity is not punished, but celebrated.
A world where no child hides their truth to feel safe.
A humanity where diversity is not just tolerated—but embraced.
To build that world, we must become it first.
🙏 Closing Challenge
This week, choose one moment to be fearlessly yourself—even if it’s uncomfortable.
Speak your truth.
Stand in your skin.
Love who you love.
Pray how you pray.
You don’t need permission to be real. Christ didn’t wait for approval—and neither should you.
Mantra:
I am sacred. I am whole. I will not shrink to fit small minds.
Let them judge. Let them whisper. Let them laugh.
And let you keep rising.
🌿 “Cannabis is a sacrament—a gift for healing, reflection, and becoming.”
💚 A better world is possible—through cooperation, equity, and wisdom.
✝️ God may be real, but religion is man’s story about it.
🕊️ Man is broken and beautiful. We must evolve—alone and together.
Be kind. Be bold. Be free.
We’ll see you next Sunday.
